What is Windows Server 2008
This is a part two of the previous article. This time I want to talk more detail about Windows 2008. This is the most recent release of Microsoft Windows’s server line of operating systems. This product actually released to manufacturing on February 4th. 2008, it is the successor to Windows Server 2003, released nearly five years earlier. Like Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 is built on the Windows NT 6.0 kernel. A second release, named Windows Server 2008 R2, is currently under development.
This Windows Server 2008 is built in the same code base as Windows Vista, the latest version of Windows that commonly used by Microsoft Windows user today, so it has the similar architecture and functionality. The system resource of Windows 2008 server can be partitioned dynamically and easily. Each partition can have its own memory, processor and I/O host bridge devices independently. It allows the server to manage better of the clients. The other good feature of Windows Server 2008 is the Active Directory roles.
Of course all the new feature of this software need to be learned by IT division. In learning this new operating system in the server we use windows 2008 online training provided by k-alliance. This online training is very efficient in term of time and cost wise.
