I am a cable television subscriber and using a gadget for receiving the TV program called decoder. It is fine to get all the program from the cable TV, and all pictures are clean. But I still sometime want to watch local TV channel from my antenna. The signals from antenna are not a digital signals but they are analog signals.

This is when I need a box converter or some people say digital signal converter. It converts analog signal from antenna to digital signal. It will also make the picture clearer. But before you buy it, make sure it work well with your local TV channels.
